If you haven’t heard, the US Congress is pushing something called the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) – a bill meant to curtail online piracy in theory, but in execution could effectively censor the entire web at the whim of the US government and the entertainment industry. The Senate is pushing a similar bill called PIPA (Protect IP Act).

Nobody making comics online would be able to do so without a free, open Internet, and SOPA could greatly impact our (and my!) ability to do just that.

Please, read up on the act and do everything you can to prevent it from moving forward. If you’re in the US, contact your member of Congress or Senator and tell them you oppose this bill. The Internet has changed our lives and the way we communicate with the world – please do your part to make sure it stays open and uncensored.
