Paternalism
Hey gang!! Just a quick update on the state of the comic:
“Christ Incorporated” has just 5 pages left, and if all goes according to plan, it’ll wrap up before the end of May. At that point I’m gonna go on a brief hiatus of a month or two to work ahead on the next arc/book and get on top of my schedule a bit more than I have been of late. Giving myself a little time to write and draw without a weekly deadline should help me recharge. It’s been a weird couple of years for me in a lot of ways, and the comics over that period have been inadvertently defined by my own mental state. And I feel like that worked well in some ways, and didn’t quite work in other ways… which has given me some perspective on the story I want to tell going forward.
I’m very excited about the next book, and my hope is it’ll offer a lot of variety and growth while tapping into and improving the energy this comic had in the beginning. And I’ll announce more about that very soon. In the meantime, we’ve got some major beats in the next several updates, and I hope you’ll check those out and what comes next.
